Flex space design
This is a concept for a dispensary chain located across the United States. They are in the process of opening a flex space in Philadelphia. Budder was tasked with the interior design of a space that contained retail, a space that could morph from a lounge to a symposium for events, and private offices.
Designed at Budder with Mike Abbonizio and Dana Waldman
Three views that illustrate how the space can be used in three different scenarios. The top illustrates a private lounge, middle illustrates an open lounge, and the bottom is a symposium for events.
Below are some examples of a fun early concept for the space. The client expressed a desire for a bright space with industrial materials. I chose to use plywood, concrete, cinder blocks, subway tiles and neon accents. I kept the space pretty open with a partially private lounge. I wanted to try to avoid adding too many walls in order to create as much natural light as possible. The floor plan changed quite a bit since this concept, but certain elements such as the initial materials mood board are carrying through.
